These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access and use of  the activities provided by the ASSOCIAÇÃO CRISTÃ – AS IGREJAS EM PORTUGAL, henceforth referred to as ACIP (“we”, “us” or “our”), a nonprofit association headquartered at Rua Cruz da Carreira, 4B, 1150-119 Lisboa, Portugal, and operating publicly under the name Life for All – Europe.

ACIP is the legal entity and data controller for all activities carried out under the name Life for All – Europe. When you interact with us through this public identity (e.g., events, websites, live streams, social media, or email), your data is collected and processed by ACIP under its Privacy Policy and by using this site or registering for events, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Who We Are

We are a nonprofit Christian association that organizes spiritual gatherings, conferences, and church events throughout Europe. Our mission is to support the faith and fellowship of believers and to provide a platform for Christian teaching and worship.

2. Services We Provide

Through our official website (lifeforall-europe.org) and affiliated platforms, the ACIP provides a variety of services and community tools to support our mission. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Event Coordination and Registration: Enabling users to register for conferences, church gatherings, training programs, spiritual retreats, and more.
  • Donation and Support Channels: Offering ways for individuals to contribute financially to our nonprofit mission via several means.
  • Media Ministry: Providing access to spiritual resources such as recorded teachings, live streams, event replays and image galleries.
  • Volunteer and Ministry Opportunities: Allowing users to express interest in volunteering or serving in various capacities within our initiatives.
  • Community Programs and Enlistments: Facilitating participation in programs such as CEAPE (Centro de Aperfeiçoamento para Propagação do Evangelio), Colportagem, as well as future training or discipleship activities.
  • Communication and Notifications: Sending relevant updates, newsletters, or follow-ups related to the services and events for which users engage.

The scope of these services may evolve over time. We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue them to better serve our community and respond to the needs of our mission.

3. Eligibility & Minors

Our events are open to individuals of all ages, including minors. However, if you are under the age of 16, participation in events and inclusion in any photos or videos requires prior parental or legal guardian consent, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

During registration, the forms will prompt for the parent/guardian’s contact information.

Our staff will contact the listed parent/guardian and request email confirmation of their consent, including their full name and acknowledgment of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

The registration will only be considered complete once verified parental or guardian consent has been received.

Therefore, by registering for an event, you confirm that:

  • You are over 16 years old, or
  • You are under 16 years old and your parent or legal guardian has provided the required consent.

4. User Responsibilities

By using our website or registering for any of our services, users agree to:

 

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration and participation.
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy of information submitted on behalf of others.
  • Follow all instructions given by our event organizers and staff.

 

Conduct themselves respectfully and ethically at all times during events.

5. Event Registration and Payment

Registration for events is available via the lifeforall-europe.org website. Attendance is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash (in person at designated times/locations)
  • Card payment (via SumUp or similar terminal)
  • Bank transfer (with mandatory submission of payment proof)

Failure to provide valid payment confirmation will not result in cancellation of your registration, but you will be asked by our staff to pay at our event sites.

6. Registration of Multiple Participants

Our platform allows a single user to register multiple participants (e.g., family or group members). If you register others, you confirm that:

 

  • You have informed all individuals being registered about these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • You have obtained any necessary consents, including parental consent for minors.
  • You are authorized to share their personal data and act on their behalf regarding the registration.

7. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Rights)

Under Article 16(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, your right to withdraw from a service contract within 14 days does not apply to time-specific leisure services such as our events. By registering, you acknowledge and accept this exemption.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

If you cancel:

  • Refunds are not guaranteed but may be granted at our discretion under specific circumstances.

If we cancel or reschedule an event:

  • You are entitled to a full refund or may transfer your registration to a future event.

9. Limitation of Liability

We strive to ensure that all information on our website is accurate and that events proceed as planned. However, to the extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
  • We do not accept liability for delays, cancellations, or other issues caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

10. Intellectual Property

All content provided by ACIP, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, audio recordings, forms, and event materials (whether online or in-person), is either the property of ACIP or used under proper license or permission.

This content is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly display any of this content without prior written consent from ACIP, unless expressly stated otherwise.

11. Personal Data and Privacy

ACIP is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All personal data collected through our services — including websites, registration forms, and event participation — is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect, how it is used, who has access to it, and your rights regarding your personal data. We encourage all users to review the policy before submitting personal information.

12. Modifications to These Terms

ACIP reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changes in our operations, services, or legal obligations. When changes are made, the revised Terms will be posted on our official website and the “Last Updated” date will be modified accordingly.

We recommend that users regularly review the Terms. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Portugal. In case of conflict with local legislation in the country where an event takes place, local regulations may apply as needed for that specific context.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, unless otherwise required by applicable EU law.

14. Disclaimers

We provide our services, including websites, registration platforms, live streams, and communication channels, on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for your specific needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ACIP and its partners, volunteers, or third-party providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that may arise from:

  • Your use or inability to use our services or platforms
  • Delays or interruptions in access or service
  • Technical issues beyond our control (e.g., live stream failures, form errors)
  • Errors in data submitted by users or displayed on public materials
  • Actions or omissions by third-party service providers (e.g., banks, web hosts)
  • Force majeure situations (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, government actions)

We are also not liable for content submitted by users, volunteers, or attendees through our platforms, including comments, uploads, or information provided during registrations.

In no case shall ACIP’s total liability exceed the actual amount you have paid (if any) to participate in a given event or service.
