The boat of our life.

The gospels show us many passages of Jesus’ life on this earth and help us learn important and fundamental principles for our Christian life. In this text, we will talk about a situation and seek light to extract the precious principles in this passage that is in the text of Mark 6: 45-52.

On this occasion, after feeding a crowd, Jesus asked His disciples to cross the sea and He would stay on land to pray, but on that occasion He would do it alone (Mark 6:45). “after leaving them,he went up on a mountainside to pray.” (v. 46). Jesus was on land praying and his disciples at sea struggling to row “because the wind was against them” (v. 48). Pay attention, reading the entire 48, that Jesus, though on land praying, realizing the disciples’ difficulty in moving on with the boat, took action, had a less than apparently unusual action: “… He came to them walking on the sea. “Jesus’ prayer was certainly the most powerful of all, but He endeavored to go to the disciples. We often play a word game about prayer, which is the same as praying + action. Jesus prayed and acted .

Our life is a great journey. There are people who already have Jesus in the boat of their lives, but there are many who don’t. And no matter what your case, He wants to approach you and help you through your difficulties. In the rough seas of everyday life, it is sometimes difficult to advance because the winds are contrary. However, dear reader, know that there, very close to you, above the many difficulties of life, Jesus is ready to help you.

The disciples had been fishermen for many years, but they never saw that scene. In the middle of the night, at sea, a person walked on water.“But when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said,“Take courage! It’s me. Don`t be afraid. ”(V. 49-50). ” The he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down.” (v. 51). Dear reader, cheer up! Fear not, for Jesus is the only one who can cross and overcome the troubled sea of your life! You just have to let Him get in your boat. When this happens, the peace of the Lord will fill your heart, and even if you are in the midst of a rough sea, in full dark, without hopeless, Jesus will be with you and take you to the other side, safe and sound!

We invite you to say a simple prayer and have an attitude: “Lord Jesus. I invite you to come into my life and be her Lord. Give me the peace and courage to together go through the headwinds and storms that life gives us, because You are the only one who has the power to change any situation that may be occurring. Come into me, make me your address and I’m yours. Amen. “
